Michael
Founder, Mora Disability
The sector faces challenges such as high demand, limited Specialist Support Coordination, language barriers, and inconsistent service quality. With extensive experience, strong ethics, and comprehensive knowledge, I aim to improve the quality of support for individuals and the broader community. My commitment is to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that makes a meaningful difference.
My journey started in 2014 as a Disability Employment Consultant with Centrelink. In 2016, I joined the NDIA as a Local Area Coordinator during the initial rollout of the NDIS in NSW, gaining invaluable insights into the system’s complexities. By 2018, I transitioned to Support Coordination, then moved into SIL Accommodation Management, before returning to Support Coordination in 2021.
Throughout my time with the NDIA, I noticed a significant gap in understanding between key stakeholders—participants, families, service providers, and the NDIA itself—when it came to navigating guidelines and processes. This gap inspired me to take action. I’ve since worked on complex cases, collaborating with government departments like DCJ, Community Housing, NSW Health, NCAT, and the Quality and Safeguards Commission, always striving to ensure participants receive the support they deserve. This drive to bridge the gap and provide participants with clear, accessible guidance led me to start Mora Disability.
I firmly believe in the potential of the NDIS to change lives, but I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate. That’s why I see my role—and that of our Support Coordinators—as more than just guiding participants through their plans. We’re here to protect your rights, help you understand the NDIS, and empower you and your family to advocate for yourselves with confidence.
I’m passionate about making a difference, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can achieve your goals and create a future that works for you
